The boating Lake is a five minute drive from where I live yet I have only been there about 3 times in 20 years. The boats are now in the form of huge plastic swans in primary coloured plastic and I made a point of leaving them out of the picture on this occasion. The man on the seat is a local who tells he comes every day to the Lake to feed the ducks, (nice work if you can get it)! It added a bit of life to the picture and an opportunity to put in a few birds in flight and record the disturbance on the water. Alexandra Palace grounds offer good potential for the artist but I am holding off using it as a resource until the winter sets in. Then it will be a useful location to capitalise on any positive shifts in the weather.
