Kenwood House Garden Side 10″ x 12″

This picture was painted in two stages and I made sure the weather and time was identical. I waited for about an hour on the second sitting hoping that someone would sit on one of the benches as with no figures and compositionally it was looking like an empty stage set.  In the end I just ask a young couple if they would mind sitting down for ten minutes on the left then another polite request enabled me to put in the two German ladies on the right hand side,
