This Painting from Albert Bridge is 12″ x 10 “
I liked the way the chimneys on the horizon and the two tie posts formed a sort triangle in perspective.Without these stabilising elements the painting would probably have looked a bit of a jumble. Cadogan pier is used as a mooring for houseboats and I was amazed to see one 3 berth advertised in an agents for only £250,000 which seems remarkably cheap considering it’s Chelsea location, although morning a maintenance fees are an expensive £7000 per annum. There is talk of mooring leases not being renewed for current owners and slots being taken over by upmarket Russian vessels. It will be shame if this happens as already so much of the Thames’s character has already been altered at road level.
