This painting of Carluccio’s in Hampstead is 12″ x 10″ and was executed in late October
Although I was hoping to do this ‘contre jour’ parking was tricky and by the time I had selected to spot the sun had moved. This is one of several studies I have started in preparation for finalising locations for larger works I plan to put into my exhibition in Hampstead next year.
I will probably do this one in several different lights and retain the composition which I think works fine. There was a great piece of wider pavement outside of the bank with a staircase behind so that I was clearly out of the way of passing traffic.
