This is one of two paintings that I did of this view at different times of the day (early morning and afternoon) It is typical hillside view in Oia village
I stood on a people packed promontory to paint this picture and it is pretty much considered one of the best views to be had in Oia, so much so that there is a queue to view it at sunset. The detail is complex and when mapping it out it is easy to keep losing…Details

View from Alexander PalaceThis view is a 15 minute walk from where I live and it is one that I will never tire of painting. Every time I visit, it looks totally different and I plan to paint it in a range of lights and weather conditions.

I painted this picture in mid December over two sessions and just as the light was turning to dusk. I loved the pinky grey colour of the sky and the reflections on the side conservatory.
I painted this picture on a dull November day and was attracted to the turret, faceted bay windows and the dramatic perspective on the left hand side. The painting was noticed online by a previous owner who purchased it within a few days of my completing the workDetails
I painted this picture just after the 2016 Xmas tree went up in Muswell Hill. I loved the strong end of day light. An interested local person (Lisa) contacted me to see if she could pop along and watch me paint so I asked her to sit on the seat at the front and included…Details
