Painting of Tower Bridge 

It is the 13th of September and it was fairly warm at 8 this morning when I drove down to the Thames. I started at Blackfriars bridge but the light was not good and everything seemed rather dull so I moved onto London Bridge which was more promising. The cloud started off fairly thin and the sky was initially a warm hue. As the morning progressed , I had to redo the sky as it became incompatible with the Thames. HMS Belfast looked elegant in front of Tower Bridge small craft movement chopped up the water giving it a little visual texture. I definitely want to return and paint another version when the sun is out.
